How it works

1. Write the story in ChatGPT. With the Oncebound plugin, ask something like: “Write a story for Léa, 4, about a brave little fox.” Write it with ChatGPT, paste your own text, or let your child call the shots. You read and approve the text.
2. See your book. A few minutes later, a preview appears in the chat: the cover and the illustrated pages, with the same hero from start to finish.
3. Order on oncebound.com. Your address and payment go on our website, never in the chat. The book goes to print within hours and ships with tracking.

• 28 to 32 pages, depending on the length of the story: title page, dedication page, a portrait of the hero, then one spread per scene (text on the left, full-page illustration on the right) and “The End”.

How do I turn a story written in ChatGPT into a real printed book?

Add the Oncebound plugin to ChatGPT, write or paste your story and ask for it to become a book. ChatGPT splits it into 10 to 14 scenes, you approve the text, then an illustrated preview appears in the chat. You order on oncebound.com.

How much does a book cost?

How long does delivery take?

The book goes to the printer within hours of payment. It is printed close to you and delivered in 1 to 2 weeks depending on the country. Allow up to three weeks for a birthday; for Christmas, order by November 30 (printing takes longer in December).

Which countries do you ship to?

United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Austria. Books are printed by our print-on-demand partner close to you.

Can I use my own story?

Yes. Paste your text into ChatGPT and ask for it to become an Oncebound book. A long story is shortened to fit 10 to 14 scenes; you approve the final text before the preview is made.

Can the book feature a cartoon character or a famous person?

No. Every book has an original hero that you invent together: a shy owl, a girl in a yellow raincoat, a dragon who collects buttons. We don't print existing characters, brands or real people, and we don't use photos. Your child's first name can be in the story, on the cover and on the dedication page.

What happens to my story and my data?

In ChatGPT we only receive the story, the child's first name and the illustration descriptions, used only to make the preview and the book. Address, e-mail and payment are entered on oncebound.com, never in the chat; card details are handled by Stripe. Previews that are not ordered are deleted after 30 days.

Is Oncebound made by OpenAI?

No. Oncebound is an independent service that works as a plugin inside ChatGPT. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.

What if the book arrives damaged or with a print defect?

We reprint it for free: write to support@oncebound.com with your order number (OB-…) and a photo, within 14 days of delivery.
