Data we collect

• In ChatGPT: the story text, the child's first name and the illustration descriptions you submit voluntarily. They are used only to generate the preview and the book.
• At checkout: name, shipping address, phone number and e-mail (shared with the printer and the carrier for delivery), and your payment, processed by Stripe (we store no card data).
• Technical: minimal server logs (errors, order identifiers) for support and security, and an irreversible fingerprint of the anonymous user and conversation identifiers sent by ChatGPT, used only for aggregate usage statistics and abuse prevention.
• E-mails to customers: if you ordered, we may e-mail you a few times a year with ideas for another book (similar products), unless you ticked the refusal box at checkout. Every such e-mail has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Recipients

Image generation provider (OpenAI: the illustration descriptions and, to proofread each illustration before printing, the text of the book; never the child's first name, which is replaced by "the hero" or "the child"), printing and logistics (Gelato and its partner printers), payments (Stripe), transactional e-mails (Resend), hosting.

Retention

Previews that are not ordered: 30 days. Print files and order data: 12 months after delivery (accounting obligations: 10 years for invoices).

Your rights

Access, rectification, deletion, objection: write to support@oncebound.com. EU residents may lodge a complaint with their data-protection authority (CNIL in France).

Children

The service is for adults ordering a book for a child. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
